Yantai-Weihai UHV, a new channel
On July 27 the final conductor of the Yantai-Weihai UHV was strung, completing the nation's first provincial UHV double-ring network in Shandong. The 1,197 km line passes through Yantai, Qingdao, Rizhao, Weifang and Linyi, and is named the key channel for sending out the Jiaodong Peninsula's renewables. That means Yantai's local PV and offshore wind gain smoother export and access, raising the green share and stability of residential charging.
Yunnan truck network past 1,000
On July 28 Yunnan's cumulative grid-connected new-energy heavy-truck charge-swap stations passed 1,000, with total capacity above 2 million kVA and coverage of every prefecture. It shows heavy-truck replenishment can run on networked layout rather than piling piles at single points. Yantai's port, logistics parks and nearby mines have similarly frequent heavy-truck demand.
Signals from the 15th Five-Year climate plan
The plan sets expected targets of over 10 percent drop in industrial energy intensity per unit added value and 500 zero-carbon factories, while a PV cost-accounting standard issued on July 27 unified the cost framework across the chain. Charging facilities, sitting at the crossroads of green manufacturing and green mobility, will be pulled into more parks and plants.
For Yantai operators the hint is clear: Dongshang New Energy and Dongdian Huichong, advancing residential piles and charging carports across 13 districts and counties, sit exactly where the energy skeleton meets the community tip. Borrow the UHV green channel to add PV carports and storage at urban public stations, and borrow Yunnan's network logic for port and logistics charge-swap plans, so the big-project dividend reaches daily life.
