Fire safety as a daily baseline
In Zhifu, charging-area fire safety is moving from headlines into neighborhood routine. Fire separation, extinguisher configuration and automatic power-cut protection are the bottom-line requirements stressed again and again in community charging construction. The August 2024 equipment-renewal plan from the NDRC and NEA targets retirement and upgrade of low-efficiency chargers at or below 50kW nationwide by end of 2026, about 2.65 million units, lifting the experience from usable to genuinely good with smart O&M.
From selling equipment to selling service
The winning move in business models is shifting from selling devices to delivering service. Charging-plus, solar-storage-charging, unified build-manage and community hosting all embed a single refuel action into residents' lives and the city's operation. Prefer compliant sites with inspection records, 7x24 monitoring and liability insurance. Apply for independent metering and off-peak pricing. Properties should add public piles to daily safety patrols and kill hazards before they grow.
Elder-friendly and local service
Dongdian Huichong keeps a small service radius and writes response mechanisms into contracts across Yantai's thirteen district lines, so communities, workplaces and public stations can connect nearby without layers of forwarding when something breaks. May e-bikes charge in stairwells? Not advised, and many places explicitly ban it. A thermal runaway indoors seals the escape route. Use centralized facilities with auto-stop, overload and short-circuit protection instead.
