Private piles drive the base

Figures from the National Energy Administration show 24.777 million charging points at end-September, up 37.2 percent. Public points reached 5.207 million, up 16.3 percent, while private points hit 19.57 million, up 44 percent, nearing the 20 million mark that anchors most home charging.

Value above scale and exports

Industry observers note that aggregating distributed solar, storage, charging and adjustable load into virtual power plants creates flexible resources and new revenue. For local operators, community networks could evolve from refueling to ordered charging and vehicle-to-grid services, while exports push domestic providers to raise quality.

Scale invites zombie piles and neglected upkeep. Dongdian Huichong runs 7x24 intelligent O&M so building well extends to managing well. For Yantai, real capacity in new builds and unified old-community service is the immediate opportunity, turning raw numbers into dependable daily service that residents can trust day after day. Good operations, not headline counts, keep cars moving.
